Description:
4,6-Dichloro-2-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidine is a pyridinium salt that is soluble in water. It has an elemental analysis of C, H, and N. Absorption spectroscopy showed that 4,6-Dichloro-2-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidine has an ionic nature with a quencher constant of 1.5×10. The absorption maximum was observed at 270 nm and the emission maximum was observed at 350 nm. There is no luminescence or fluorescence to this compound. Elemental analysis by ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) revealed the following: 0% Cl (chloride), 0% H (hydrogen), and 100% O (oxygen). EDTA also revealed that there are no impurities present in the sample which have been detected by UV/Vis spectroscopy. This
