2,3-Dihydro-1H-indene-1-carboxylic acid is a synthetic compound that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other pharmaceuticals. It is a white crystalline solid that has a melting point of 178°C and a boiling point of 324°C. This compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of animals and plants, and also exhibits dichroism spectra. 2,3-Dihydro-1H-indene-1-carboxylic acid has been found to have inhibitory activities against microsomal preparations and pharmaceutical preparations. It can be used in assays for organic solvents.
