- Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine, 5,7-dichloro-
5,7-Dichloropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine is a palladium complex that has been shown to inhibit the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. The compound was synthesized and tested in vitro for antiviral activity against HIV-1 in HT-29 cells. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of nevirapine and other HIV drugs. 5,7-Dichloropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine is also an analog of Nevirapine and has been shown to have similar binding modes. There is still a need for more exploration before it can be considered as a drug candidate.
