Description

5-(4,6-Dimorpholino-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-amine is an experimental drug that inhibits the growth of cells by inhibiting protein synthesis. It has been shown to be effective in vitro against t-cell lymphomas and monoclonal antibody resistant B cell lymphomas. This molecule also inhibits the production of a number of growth factors, including those for T cells and B cells, which may explain its ability to inhibit the growth of these types of cancer cells. 5-(4,6-Dimorpholino-1,3,5-triazin-2-)yl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-amine has also been shown to have anti microbial activity against a variety of microbes that cause infections in humans.
