4,4'-Dianilino-1,1'-binaphthyl-5,5'-disulfonic acid dipotassium salt (DAB) is a fluorescent probe that binds to protein and collagen. It has been used as a fluorescent stain for calcium binding proteins in the cell membrane. This probe has also been used to measure the transfer reactions of fatty acids and fluorescence intensity of fatty acids. DAB has potent antitumor activity against tumor cells and can be used as a prodrug for monoclonal antibody production. DAB is a fluorescence probe that can bind to receptor molecules such as toll-like receptors in human serum or cell culture medium.
