Description:

11,12-Dihydroindolo[2,3-a]carbazole is a photophysical compound that can be used in optical devices and solar cells. It has been reported to be an efficient sensitizer for the conversion of light into electricity. 11,12-Dihydroindolo[2,3-a]carbazole absorbs UV radiation and converts it into visible light emission when excited with visible or UV light. This material is also used as a luminescent material in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) because of its high efficiency. The temperature at which this material emits at peak wavelength is around 100°C.
