4,6-Dimethylpyridine-2,3-diamine is a type of receptor antagonist that can be found in the class of biphenyl. It has been shown to antagonize the pressor response in pithed rats and potentiates acetoacetate, malononitrile, and intraduodenal reactivity. 4,6-Dimethylpyridine-2,3-diamine has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the production of acetylacetone and diketene by liver cells.
