Description:
2,3-Dihydro-3-oxo-1H-indene-4-carbonitrile is an inhibitor of integrase, which belongs to the class of amides. It has been shown to be a potent and selective inhibitor of HIV integrase in vitro. The pharmacokinetic properties of 2,3-Dihydro-3-oxo-1H-indene-4-carbonitrile have been studied in human volunteers. The drug was well tolerated and had a low potential for drug interactions. Pharmacokinetic profiles were determined for both plasma and lymphocytes.
