2,4-Dichlorobenzylisocyanate is a kinase inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the enzyme protein kinase. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of chemotaxis and cell-free recruitment of cells. 2,4-Dichlorobenzylisocyanate is also a potential inhibitor of MCP-1, which is a chemokine that attracts monocytes and neutrophils. This compound has been shown to have inhibitory potential against several enzymes, including protein kinases and phosphatases. 2,4-Dichlorobenzylisocyanate inhibits the activity of these enzymes by binding to their active site and blocking access to the substrate.
