Description:

3-(Dimethylamino)propyl]triphenylphosphoniumbromide is a brominating agent that can be used in the Wittig reaction to form an acid chloride. It has been shown to have antiinflammatory activity, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. 3-(Dimethylamino)propyl]triphenylphosphoniumbromide is not active against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
