Description

Di-tert-butylsilyl ditriflate is an efficient method for the synthesis of chondroitin sulfate. It is a bifunctional reagent that can be used to synthesize chondroitin sulfate with a high degree of stereoselectivity. The termini on the molecule are not affected by the reaction conditions and allow for efficient preparation of the desired product, which can then be analyzed using analytical methods. Di-tert-butylsilyl ditriflate is also used in biosynthesis to produce oxidation products, which are important in glycosaminoglycan formation.
