It binds to the response element of the ki20227 gene and blocks the binding of the monoclonal antibody Ki20227. 1-(4-(6,7-Dimethoxyquinolin-4-yloxy)-2-methoxyphenyl)-3-(1-(thiazol-2-yl)ethyl)urea has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis in animal models of autoimmune diseases such as arthritis and psoriasis. This drug also inhibits cell factor and colony stimulating factor, which are factors that promote blood vessel formation.
