3,4-Dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-1(2H)-one is a modulator that can be used to inhibit protein kinases. It is a competitive inhibitor of the protein kinase activity of protein kinases A and C. The preparation process for 3,4-dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-1(2H)-one involves solid phase synthesis. This substance has been shown to have therapeutic effects in cancer and proliferative disorders by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and by lowering blood pressure. 3,4-Dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-1(2H)-one also has anti-inflammatory properties which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
