Product Information

Name:
5,6-Dimethylpyrazin-2-amine
Description:

5,6-Dimethylpyrazin-2-amine is an analgesic and antiinflammatory agent. It has been shown to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase activity of COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes. Furthermore, 5,6-dimethylpyrazin-2-amine has been shown to enhance the antiinflammatory activity of indomethacin in carrageenan rat paw edema experiments. 5,6-Dimethylpyrazin-2-amine has also been shown to have a high affinity for COX enzyme assays and is an excellent candidate for research into new drugs that have antiinflammatory properties.
