Description:

2,3-Dihydroquinolin-4(1H)-one is a compound that can be synthesized by the reaction of 4-hydroxyquinoline with oxime derivatives. It has been shown to have anticancer activity and can be used as an anti-inflammatory agent. 2,3-Dihydroquinolin-4(1H)-one also inhibits invasive fungal infections caused by Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus. It is found in many plants, including sweet clover and licorice, and has been shown to have hypotensive effects in mice.
