Description:

2,6-Dichloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine is an organic compound that is a colorless solid with a pungent and irritating odor. It has the chemical formula Cl2N2C6H2Cl. 2,6-Dichloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine is a heterocycle with two chlorine atoms and two nitrogen atoms. The molecule can be viewed as consisting of two rings: one six-membered ring containing two nitrogen atoms and one three-membered ring containing two chlorine atoms. The reaction product of peroxide and organic solvent produces 2,6-dichloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine. This product can also be produced by halogenation of substituted imidazoles with alkali in an organic base solution or by chlorination of substituted imidazoles in alkali solution at high temperature.
