1,3-Diaminopropane Dihydrochloride is a compound that can be used in chromatographic analysis. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties with respect to the melting point of Sephadex G-100, which is an agarose gel for separating proteins and polypeptides. The crystalline structure of 1,3-diaminopropane dihydrochloride has been determined by X-ray diffraction data from a single crystal. The thermal expansion of 1,3-diaminopropane dihydrochloride was found to be 9.5 x 10^(-6) K^(-1). Intramolecular hydrogen bonding interactions are thought to be the cause of this property.
