Description:
2-(1-(4,4-Difluorocyclohexyl) piperidin- 4- yl) - 6- fluoro- 3- oxoisoindoline- 4- carboxamide (DSF) is an inhibitor of the protein kinase Aurora A. DSF has been shown to have antiproliferative activity in a number of cancer cell lines and cocrystal formation with aurora kinases could be used for rationalization of its pharmacokinetic profiles. DSF demonstrated high efficacy in xenograft models and had negligible toxicity in mice at doses up to 1000 mg/kg. The drug was well absorbed following oral administration and was rapidly eliminated from the blood stream, with a half life of 3 hours.
