2,5-Difluoro-1,4-phenylenediboronic acid is a stabilized form of the compound 2,5-difluoro-1,4-phenylene diboronic acid. The compound is an anhydrous crystalline material that can be obtained as a hydrochloride salt or as anhydrous crystals. It has been studied extensively by x-ray crystallography, and found to have two molecules in the asymmetric unit with dimers and water molecules. This molecule has been shown to be stable in the solid state at room temperature and can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. The molecular geometry of this molecule is linear with a C2v point group symmetry.
