Description:
3,4-Difluorocinnamic acid is a phenolic compound that can act as a scavenger for free radicals. It has been shown to possess antioxidant activity in the presence of hydroxyl groups. 3,4-Difluorocinnamic acid also possesses a high affinity for tyrosinase and can be used in biotechnology as an antioxidant. It has been shown to enhance the docking of cinnamic acid derivatives with the phenyl ring on tyrosinase, which may inhibit its activity.
