Diacetoxydiphenylsilane is a diluent used in silicone-based coatings. It is used to reduce the viscosity of silicone, which is a reactive compound. Diacetoxydiphenylsilane also functions as an antireflection agent and hydrosilylation agent in the coating process. It can be used to repair damaged organic solvent films or form a polymer film on the surface of the substrate. Diacetoxydiphenylsilane has been shown to react with styrene molecules and produce an average particle diameter of 1 μm.
