Description:
7-{[2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)ethyl]amino}-3-(3-fluorophenyl)pyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione is a growth factor with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It has been shown to inhibit the production of epidermal growth factor in human bladder cancer cells by binding to the epidermal growth factor receptor. 7-{[2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)ethyl]amino}-3-(3-fluorophenyl)pyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione also inhibits the activity of protein kinase C and its downstream target phosphorylase kinase. This inhibitor may be useful for treating autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel
