4,6-Dichloropyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine is a hydroxamic acid with oncogenic properties. It has been shown to induce tumor growth in animal models and is believed to work by inhibiting the activation of signaling pathways that control cell proliferation. 4,6-Dichloropyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine inhibits the activation of oncogenic signaling pathways by binding to phosphorylated serine/threonine residues in their kinase domains. This drug also has antiproliferative activity on prostate cancer cells in culture.
