Description

N,N-Dimethyldecylamine is a fatty amine that is used in the manufacture of detergents. It has a higher chemical stability than other amines and is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of quaternary ammonium compounds. N,N-Dimethyldecylamine is also used for the preparation of cationic surfactants because it can react with inorganic acids to form fatty acid salts. This chemical has been shown to adsorb onto surfaces through its hydroxyl group, which leads to its use as a reaction intermediate for the production of detergent compositions.
