Description:
Dihexyl fumarate is a polymeric matrix that consists of two parts: dimethyl fumarate and fatty acid. Dihexyl fumarate has high values in the range of 1-5,000 ppm in a variety of polymerization reactions. It is a solid catalyst that is soluble in both alcohols and carbon disulphide. The chemical reactions that dihexyl fumarate can initiate include esterification, nitration, and oxidation. The optical properties of dihexyl fumarate are dependent on the concentration of the reactant. The viscosity of dihexyl fumarate depends on the concentration and temperature of the reactant. Dihexyl fumarate is used as a coating for molybdenum to reduce corrosion.
