Product Information
2-[(Diphenylphosphoroso)methyl]phenol is a ligand that is used in organocatalytic reactions to produce alcohols or phenols by nucleophilic attack. It has shown to be effective as a nucleophile in the reaction of lithium cations with carboxylates, which leads to the formation of lithium enolates. 2-[(Diphenylphosphoroso)methyl]phenol can also be used as an alkylating agent, reacting with acetonitrile to form the corresponding phosphine. In addition, it has been shown that 2-[(Diphenylphosphoroso)methyl]phenol can be used for the preparation of stable complexes with transition metals and amines. The stereospecificity of this compound is due to its nature as an enantiomeric pair, which is expressed by its two different configurations.
