2,5-Diaminotoluene sulfate is a fatty acid that has been used as a model system for the study of inorganic acids. It has been shown to have carcinogenic potential and clinical relevance. 2,5-Diaminotoluene sulfate has been shown to inhibit the production of fetal bovine serum proteins and cause allergic reactions in animals and humans. 2,5-Diaminotoluene sulfate also causes genotoxic effects by reacting with dinucleotide phosphate and potassium dichromate to form adducts which can bind to DNA bases.
