Description:
cis-3,5-Dimethylmorpholine is an active enantiomer of the racemic mixture of 3,5-dimethylmorpholine and has a fungicidal activity in plants. It is effective against fungi that are resistant to other types of fungicides. The biological activity of cis-3,5-dimethylmorpholine is due to the inhibition of the synthesis of ergosterol by inhibiting the enzyme ethylesterase. cis-3,5-Dimethylmorpholine is also used as a precursor for the synthesis of other pesticides such as metam sodium and fenpropimorph.
