Description:
Defluoro aprepitant is a water-soluble, neutral form of aprepitant. It is stable at temperatures up to 45°C, and can be prepared as an amorphous solid. Defluoro aprepitant is more potent than the parent compound at inhibiting the activity of the enzyme CYP3A4 and has a longer half-life. This form of aprepitant may be used in preparations for intravenous use, intramuscular use, or oral administration.
