Description

N-Demethyl ondansetron is a drug that has been used to treat nausea and vomiting. It is an immunogen with a high degree of cross-reactivity, which may lead to false positives in the assay. The antiserum was optimized for actinomycetes, including filamentous fungi. After the optimization step, the assay sensitivity was increased by 20%. This increase in sensitivity led to an improved yield rate of 15%, due to the use of less sample material.
