S-(-)-7-Desmethyl-8-nitro blebbistatin is a noncompetitive inhibitor of myosin light chain kinase that has been shown to be an efficient method for modelling cardiomyocytes. The effect of the drug on cardiac function and morphology in vitro can be visualized by using fluorescence microscopy. The drug also regulates adhesions between cells, which are important for organ function. S-(-)-7-Desmethyl-8-nitro blebbistatin is a reversible inhibitor that can be used to study the role of adenoviral morphologies on spontaneous cell culture.
