Diethyl difluoromethanephosphonate is an organic chemical compound that belongs to the class of compounds called phosphonic acids. It is a precursor in the asymmetric synthesis of trifluoroacetic acid and can be used as a hydrogen-bond acceptor. Diethyl difluoromethanephosphonate has been shown to inhibit lipid kinase and ns3 protease, which are enzymes involved in cellular signaling pathways. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug have been studied in rats and mice, with high bioavailability and low tissue accumulation. This drug also exhibits biological activity by inhibiting the enzyme activity of hydroxyl group transfer reactions.
