3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde is a volatile liquid that is used as a chemical reagent. It is an electron donor and can be used in radical cations. 3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde has been shown to react with electron acceptors such as hydrogen peroxide or formic acid to produce the corresponding radical cation. The elimination of this radical ion produces carbon dioxide and water. This compound can also undergo fragmentation reactions by reacting with electron donors such as methanol or ammonia. 3,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde has molecular ion peaks at m/z 121 (C6H8N2) and m/z 123 (C6H7NO). The molecular weight of 3,5 dimethyl 1H pyrazole 4 carbaldehyde is 104.14 g/mol.
