Description:
2,2-Dimethyl-3-(4-mercaptophenyl)propionic acid is a potential inhibitor of heparin. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of heparin by binding to the low molecular weight heparin linkages. This compound also inhibits the crosslinking of low molecular weight heparins and prevents gelation. 2,2-Dimethyl-3-(4-mercaptophenyl)propionic acid is labile, which can make it more sensitive to proteolytic degradation.
