10-Doxyl stearic acid (10-DS) is a compound that belongs to the class of electron-deficient alkenes. It is a probe molecule that has been used to study the temperature dependence of the transition, as well as to investigate the magnetic properties of organic compounds. 10-DS has been shown to be anisotropic in its spectra and is highly electron spin resonance active. It can also be used as a temperature probe, with a transition temperature of -75°C.
