Diisopropylsulfite is an alkylsulfonyl compound that is a structural formula of the type RS(O)R'S where R and R' are organic groups. It has been used in the synthesis of thionyl chloride and as a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Diisopropylsulfite also has industrial applications, such as being used as an organic solvent in the manufacturing of rubber and plastics. It is soluble in water and reacts with acid to form sulfur dioxide gas.
