Ditridecyl phtalate is a biocompatible polymer with a hydroxyl group at each end. It has been shown to be chemically stable and resistant to thermal and chemical degradation. Ditridecyl phthalate is often used as an additive in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) because of its ability to improve the tensile strength of the material. It also has been used in vivo studies, where it was found that ditridecyl phthalate does not cause adverse effects on the liver or kidneys.
