Description:
Dimethyl isobutylmalonate (DIMB) is a polymerized organic compound that is obtained from the reaction of isobutyric acid with methanol. DIMB has high reactivity and can be used as a binder for plastics, such as polyoxalates and polycarbonates. It also has the ability to bind with magnesium, which makes it suitable for use in magnesium-containing polymerization reactions or as a bifunctional catalyst. DIMB can be used as an organocatalyst in flow systems.
