N,N'-Dimethyl-1,2-cyclohexanediamine is a chiral ligand that has been used in coordination chemistry. It has been shown to have high stereoselectivity and is useful for the ring-opening of chlorides. N,N'-Dimethyl-1,2-cyclohexanediamine can be synthesized from dimethylethylamine and cyclohexanone. The compound has been shown to have high kinetic activity and is able to form pentacoordinate complexes with metal ions such as silver trifluoromethanesulfonate.
