Product Information
4,6-Diamino-5-iodopyrimidine is a synthetic chemical compound. It is the cyclization product of the reaction of 2,4,6-trichloroacetophenone and acetamide. This compound has been used as a cross-coupling reaction intermediate for the synthesis of pyridines and quinolines. 4,6-Diamino-5-iodopyrimidine can be used as an intramolecular cyclization reagent to form triaryl compounds with arylated or diarylated aryl groups. 4,6-Diamino-5-iodopyrimidine has also been used in the preparation of polymers such as poly(vinyl alcohol) and poly(vinyl acetate).
