Description:
1,3-di-Boc-2-methylisothiourea is a copper complex that is used as an anticoagulant. It inhibits blood coagulation by acting as a serine protease inhibitor and prevents the formation of fibrin clots. 1,3-di-Boc-2-methylisothiourea has a high rate of uptake in the body, which may be due to its ability to form complexes with piperidine and boronic acids.
