Description

2,3-Dihydro-1,4-benzodioxine-6-carboxylic acid is a tetranuclear molecule that can be used as a cancer therapy. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in K562 cells and inhibit the proliferation of myelogenous leukemia cells. It also inhibits the production of collagen by binding with water molecules and 3-methoxyphenylacetic acid to form a complex that induces cell death. 2,3-Dihydro-1,4-benzodioxine-6-carboxylic acid has synergistic effects when combined with other medicines such as chloroquinolones and antibiotics. These combinations have been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and promote apoptosis in vitro.
