Description:
2,4-Dimethyl-1,3-thiazole-5-sulphonyl chloride can be synthesized by condensation of hydrazine with acetylacetone and chlorides. The reaction is analogous to the synthesis of sulfonyl chlorides from amines and chloroformates. The compounds are used in the synthesis of other compounds such as azides and hydrazides.
