Description:

2-(N,N-Dimethylaminomethyl)phenylboronic acid is a phenylboronic acid that reacts with hydrogen peroxide to form a boronic ester. This reaction can be used for the synthesis of alizarin, which is an organic compound that has been extensively used in the textile industry as a dye. 2-(N,N-Dimethylaminomethyl)phenylboronic acid has been shown to have high binding affinity for peroxynitrite and it can be used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of peroxynitrite in chemical reactions.
