DL-2,3-Diaminosuccinic acid 2HCl has been found to inhibit cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This inhibition may be due to its ability to react with hydrogen fluoride and aliphatic hydrocarbons. The reaction products of DL-2,3-Diaminosuccinic acid 2HCl are aromatic hydrocarbons, which are also known as carcinogens.
