Description:

2,3-Dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine is a nonpolar organic compound that is synthesized from hydrogen fluoride and chloride. It has been shown to be an effective solvent for many compounds. 2,3-Dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine reacts with the ester hydrochloride of sodium carbonate to form a salt. The reaction proceeds in dimethylformamide in the presence of anhydrous sodium and acidic ph. The chemical structures of 2,3-Dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine are shown below:
