Description:
2,4-Difluorobenzophenone is an organic solvent that has a high boiling point, a low vapor pressure, and good solvency. It is used in the synthesis of polymers and other organic compounds. 2,4-Difluorobenzophenone can be used as a nucleophile to react with carbonyl groups or other nucleophiles. The reaction products are cyclic ethers. 2,4-Difluorobenzophenone can also be used as a solvent for ketones and solvents for isomerization reactions. It undergoes gelation when heated and reacts with multistep reactions.
