2,2'-Dinitro-4,4'-dichloro diphenyl disUfide (DNPD) is a substance with the molecular formula C6H3Cl2N2O2S. It is produced by the reaction of sodium sulfide and phosgene. DNPD has been used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and as a reagent for organic reactions. In addition, DNPD has been used to produce polyurethane foam, which is commonly used in furniture cushions.
