Description:
1,4-Dichloroisoquinoline is an oxygen heterocycle that is a potent inhibitor of plasminogen activator and urokinase-type plasminogen activator. It has been shown to have selective inhibition against the enzyme urokinase-type plasminogen activator, which is involved in the process of blood clotting. 1,4-Dichloroisoquinoline also inhibits the production of isocoumarins, which are substances that can cause cancer. It has been synthesized from isoquinoline and 1,4-dichlorobenzene.
