Product Information
- Quinoline, 2,4-Dichloro-6-Fluoro-
- 2,4-Dichloro-6-fluoro-quinoline
2,4-Dichloro-6-fluoroquinoline is an optimization of the synthesis of 2,4,6-trichloroquinoline. It has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo models with a high degree of selectivity for cancer cells. The antiproliferative effects of this compound are due to its ability to induce apoptosis and inhibit cell cycle progression. This synthetic compound also inhibits the production of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) by tumor cells, which may be responsible for the antiangiogenic effect observed with this drug. 2,4-Dichloro-6-fluoroquinoline has also been shown to have potent cytotoxic properties against leukemia cells.
